Calculation of single piston rod cylinder Single piston rod cylinder is also called differential hydraulic cylinder. The oil supply causes piston 2 to move to the right at a faster speed. After piston 2 moves to a certain position, it supplies oil from port b. Piston 2 moves to the right at a faster speed, and the output force increases accordingly.
